10月18日，中山公园，第38届菊展吸引了大批市民来到这里参观。当日上午，中山公园南门口很是热闹，市民纷纷涌入这里欣赏满园菊花，不少市民感叹即使是上班日游客竟然也会这样多。
本届菊展展出菊花品种多达150余个，其中造型菊近200组，精品菊1000余盆。展出的菊花共分为6个板块，在中山公园的南门展区、迎宾大道、西门展区等绽放在游客面前。
