一些据说是《寂静岭2：重制版》的图片出现在网络上。
根据知名舅舅党Dusk Golem，这些图片是《寂静岭2：重制版》内部pitch demo（非正式版游戏）的截图，同时得到了VGC消息人士的确认。
Golem称这个Demo由《层层恐惧》《灵媒》开发商Bloober打造，是一个概念，并不代表最终游戏。
VGC去年2月时曾报道Konami计划复活《寂静岭》系列，其中一个计划就是重制《寂静岭2》。消息人士称《寂静岭2》主机版很有可能是PlayStation限时独占，同时也会登陆PC。
