南芳皇后原名阮有氏兰，她是一名兼具东方和西方之美的女子，而且会说一口流利的法语，引了无数豪门贵族的年轻男子，拜倒在她的石榴裙下。1934年她成为越南皇帝保大（阮福晪）的正妻，直到去世。
