联电7月6日在宣布启动新加坡工厂扩建计划，将在Fab 12i厂区扩建Fab12i P3厂房，合约总金额88.13亿元新台币。新厂第一期月产能为3万片12寸晶圆，预计将在2024年底量产。此次扩建的P3厂将聚焦5G、物联网、车用电子需求，主要提供22nm及28nm制程，总投资50亿美元。
