1984年6月29日 中国第一则征婚广告出现
1984年的6月29日，《中国妇女》杂志在1984年第6期上的第38页的“征婚启事”栏中，刊登了两条征婚启事，中国第一则征婚广告由此诞生。
此外，该杂志还在这一时期开设“鹊桥”征婚专栏，并以百万份的发行量吸引了众多征婚者。2001年，该栏目停办，17年中，《中国妇女》共为1万多人征婚。
