2022年5月24日下午，缅军西北军区2022年度藤球比赛开幕式在总部体育馆举行、西北军区司令丹泰（Than Htike）准将、官兵、家属、评委和运动员出席。
丹泰准将讲话后，同现场人员一起观看了参赛队伍的首场比赛。
本次藤球比赛由西北军区所属各营/单位的12支队伍参加，比赛将持续至5月27日。
