据路透社报道，其消息源透露抖音海外版TikTok在越南进行测试，预计今年第三季度在东南亚地区上线游戏功能。TikTok方面也向路透社证实，正在APP整测试HTML5游戏。
2021年11月，字节跳动组织架构调整，成立六个业务板块，分别为抖音、大力教育、飞书、火山引擎、朝夕光年和TikTok，其中朝夕光年为字节旗下游戏业务板块。
