2月8日晚在“冰丝带”进行的北京冬奥会速度滑冰男子1500米比赛中，首次参加冬奥会的中国选手宁忠岩以1分45秒26获得第七名。荷兰选手接连打破奥运纪录，状态惊人，最终夺得冠亚军。我国另外两名选手王浩田和廉子文分别位列第20名和第27名。
