据中国日报消息，周四，世卫组织表示，在法国发现的IHU毒株是B.1.640变种的一个子系，该变种在去年9月就已在多国出现。该变种有大量突变，但并没有在法国发生大范围传播，只有不到1%的测序样本为该变种。目前世卫将其列为受监控的变体。此外，世卫组织表示，新冠疫苗可对抗所有正在传播的新冠及其变种病毒，对预防重症和死亡非常有效。
