SE的《沙迦》系列总负责人河津秋敏在推上发布了新年寄语，表示在2022年《沙迦》系列不只有运营服务（浪漫沙加Re; universe），还有高清移植、重制以及新作正在开发之中，将在新的一年里公布这些消息。在此前的直播活动中河津秋敏也曾提到他与三浦宏之正参与到一款新作的开发之中，会在2022年公布。
