据广州市公安消防支队海珠区大队消息，12月11日5时许，海珠区沙园街道光大花园一期一户民宅发生火警。接报后，广州市消防救援支队立即启动应急预案，调集4个消防站、8辆消防车赶赴现场处置，06时18分将明火扑灭，现场造成2人死亡，起火原因正在调查中。
