北京时间12月10日傍晚，国际足联官方确认2021世界足球先生投票将在欧洲中部时间23:59(北京时间12月11日6:59)截止。
2021FIFA足球先生奖项定于欧洲中部时间2022年1月17日颁奖，本届颁奖典礼将在苏黎世国际足联总部以线上形式举行。
届时将会颁发年度最佳男足球员（世界足球先生）、最佳教练、最佳门将等多个奖项。
