根据海外资讯称，佳能全球像素最高的320万像素（是常规的3倍）单光子雪崩二极管（SPAD）传感器将在2022年大规模投产。该SPAD传感器与传统CMOS传感器有所不同，可在1/10可见光或肉眼不可见光的情况下得到清晰的彩色图像。该传感器还可以通过光路反射测算距离，生成3D模型，因此也可用于犯罪监控、自动驾驶、LiDAR或AR技术中。
