吴大澂(1835-1902)，字清卿,江苏吴县人。平生致力于古器物研究，精于鉴别和古文字考释，亦工篆刻和书画。吴大澂书法以篆书最为著名。他开始学秦代小篆刻石，书法酷似李阳冰。后受杨沂孙的启示，将小篆与金文相结合，他的篆书大小参差、渊雅朴茂。为清著名金石考古学家。
