新京报讯 据央视网体育消息，北京时间1月21日，世界拳击理事会WBC正式宣布，将梅威瑟的头像永远放在金腰带上，用这样的方式致敬梅威瑟的辉煌生涯。对此，梅威瑟表示倍感荣幸。“我还记得第一次获得WBC拳王金腰带的时候，我看到上面有多位伟大拳王的照片，当时我就希望有一天我的照片也能在上面。现在我梦想成真了。”
