12日，记者从武汉市公共客运交通管理办公室获悉，为配合康福路雨水箱涵建设施工，从11月14日起临时调整公交556路中途线路走向，首末站不变，去行线路走向不变。回行中途线路走向由熊家咀路、康福路、楚平路、雄楚大道临时调整为熊家咀路、雄楚大道恢复原线行驶。
