10月24日，印尼71岁老翁高调迎娶现年18岁少女的视频在社交媒体流传。印尼媒体争相报道这段相差53岁的婚姻。新郎称，常去新娘家的店铺购物，因此渐渐与新娘相熟。新娘的父母起初强烈反对，不过最后也选择同意两人结婚。视频中，新郎给新娘的彩礼装满两个卡车，新郎还准备了11克黄金以及1000万印尼盾现金（约合4281.9元人民币）。
