7月8日，在北京的圆明园内，大片莲花正在开放，吸引不少游客前来拍照观赏。此前，工作人员成功将沉睡百年的古莲子培育开花，2020年，古莲成功扩繁、孕育新生，目前“古莲二代”长势良好并进入盛开期，可谓是“儿孙满塘”。
