事发8月31日下午1.30分左右，横埠镇一家汽车修理厂四间门面房着火，房屋内存放大量汽车配件，火焰瞬间燃烧到三楼。
消防、派出所、交警等部门立即进行紧急救援。工作人员在火灾现场奋不顾身为人民群众挽回了经济损失。横埠镇派出所所长汪贵胜冲进火灾现场隔壁三楼，指挥受困人员有序快速撤离现场。
