The 140th Canton Fair is in full swing. At the Pazhou Complex, there are more and more Gen Z buyers wheeling suitcases through the exhibition halls. They are no longer just tagging along with their parents to take a look; instead, they walk into the fair with their own lists, their own tools, and their own judgment. From 1,200 buyers at the first edition to more than 310,000 buyers at this edition, the Canton Fair has grown in scale over 70 years. How can it now attract the new generation of buyers to attend, stay, and keep exploring?
At the 70-year-old Canton Fair, what are young overseas buyers looking for? How have their ways of sourcing, their criteria for choosing products, and their approaches to doing business changed? In this episode of "GenZ Pop Quiz," we take you inside the 140th Canton Fair, where we spend the day exploring how a trade fair with 70 years of history is connecting with Gen Z — and what new trade stories will unfold.
