On October 20， the 2026 Sustainability Global Leaders Conference was grandly opened at the Expo Park in Huangpu District， Shanghai． Hosted by the World Green Design Organization （WGDO） and Sina Group， organized by Sina Finance and the WGDO Beijing Representative Office， and supported by the People‘s Government of Huangpu District， Shanghai， the conference was held under the theme of “Building a Resilient Future Together： Global Governance， Innovation-Driven Development， and Industrial Upgrading．”It gathered government representatives， heads of international organizations， top scholars including Nobel and Turing Award laureates， as well as executives from leading enterprises worldwide． The conference focused on cutting-edge topics such as AI and human development， climate change and regional responses， and Chinese enterprises going global， which ultimately point to the sustainable action capabilities of enterprises in real industrial scenarios． As a core highlight， the Award Ceremony for the 2026 Green Design & ESG Pioneering Enterprise Award was unveiled． The conferral not only witnessed this moment of honor showcasing corporate strength in sustainable development but also served as a concentrated manifestation of the conference‘s transition from dialogue consensus to practical action．

As the world‘s first international organization advocating green design， the World Green Design Organization （WGDO） has always believed that green design is a key engine driving enterprises to achieve green transformation and outstanding ESG （Environmental， Social， and Governance） results． In 2026， global green design has entered a stage of accelerated development， with the United Nations， the European Union， and China successively introducing policies to attach great importance to it． In March this year， green design was officially written into the Ecological Environment Code of the People‘s Republic of China， providing solid support for industrial practice． Since the inaugural Sustainable Global Leaders Conference， WGDO， in partnership with Sina Group， has been globally selecting outstanding enterprises that practice green development． Relying on a professional and rigorous evaluation system， it honors pioneering entities that deeply integrate green design and sustainability concepts throughout their entire production and service processes， awarding them the 2026 Green Design & ESG Pioneering Enterprise Award．

世界绿色设计组织（WGDO）理事、2008“中国政府友谊奖”获得者、奥地利维也纳自然资源与生命科学大学（BOKU）及中国江西师范大学教授阿尔弗雷德・皮特勒（Alfred Pitterle）受邀为多国企业机构颁奖。12家获奖的领军企业及机构包括：国际WELL建筑研究院、索尼（中国）、海信、贵州茅台、中国飞鹤、东方证券、中金公司、伊利集团、兴业银行、吉利远程、京东物流、建筑绿色低碳国家技术创新中心。在气候变化与产业升级的双重压力下，这份荣誉记录了当代企业将绿色理念转化为具体生产力和市场竞争力的真实轨迹，也鼓励了更多同业者追随榜样的步伐，共同构建有韧性的绿色商业生态。

Alfred Pitterle， Council Member of the World Green Design Organization （WGDO）， recipient of the 2008 Chinese Government Friendship Award， and Professor at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences， Vienna （BOKU）， Austria， as well as Jiangxi Normal University， China， was invited to present the awards to enterprises and institutions from multiple countries． The 12 awarded leading enterprises and institutions include： the International WELL Building Institute （IWBI）， Sony （China）， Hisense， Kweichow Moutai， China Feihe， Orient Securities， CICC， Yili， Industrial Bank， Geely Farizon， JD Logistics， and the National Center of Technology Innovation for Green and Low-Carbon Building． Under the dual pressures of climate change and industrial upgrading， this honor records the true trajectory of contemporary enterprises transforming green concepts into concrete productivity and market competitiveness， and also encourages more industry peers to follow the footsteps of these role models to jointly build a resilient green business ecosystem．

Looking ahead， we expect more enterprises to move beyond a baseline compliance mindset and regard green design as the core driving force for industrial upgrading， reshape the paradigm of corporate ESG practices， by actively responding to global environmental issues， they can build a more resilient business growth trajectory． WGDO will also continue to explore and promote green innovation practices among enterprises， gathering and sharing the experiences of pioneers to create replicable， actionable， and scalable benchmarks for the sustainable transformation of global industries．
