洛杉矶"情绪氛围"音乐人claire rousay与多领域艺术家zander raymond合作的新专辑《something good》定于1月29日由Thrill Jockey发行，首单《can't we have both》已先行放出。
这张专辑被描述为在抽象声音探索与流行结构之间模糊边界，首单正是这种混合的体现。曲子在闪烁与无形之间游走，而rousay重新拾起主唱身份，为它赋予了形状，歌词也让这段本就动人的音乐多了一层情绪重量。
她在歌里这样开场："在二手CD店里感觉自己被淘汰了。"随后唱道："这是负担，也是胜利／我的行业蒸发了，它不再需要我。"在逐渐加强的背景音里，她走向一个并不轻松的结论："我不知道自己是否还属于这里。"
对rousay来说，这是一段高产的时期——上周她刚发了《on holding》EP，再往前不久还与Martyna Basta合作推出了一张专辑。不过，对rousay而言，什么时候不算高产呢？
