2024年6月3日，月球背面，一面五星红旗在嫦娥六号着陆器上缓缓展开。这是人类首次在月球背面独立动态展示国旗。这面亮相全球的“中国红”，由安庆市纺织企业联合武汉大学等单位，历经近4年研发制造。
