10月9日，中央汇金投资有限责任公司发布声明称，公司不开展代客投资理财活动。对于假冒公司或公司工作人员名义进行诈骗的单位或个人，将依法追究其法律责任。中央汇金更新仿冒公司名单，并在声明中表示相关公司及其所出资公司与公司无任何隶属或股权关系，也不存在任何投资、合作、业务等关系，其一切活动均与公司无关。
