1987年，山东高密的外景拍摄地，《红高粱》拍摄期间，剧组条件简陋再加上天气寒冷，两人都穿着厚厚的军大衣御寒，巩俐趁着张艺谋研读剧本间隙，帮他按揉颈肩。
这是巩俐的银幕处女作，也是她与张艺谋的第一次合作，这部影片后来拿下了柏林金熊奖。
