10月9日，在甘肃省张掖市山丹县铺轨基地，随着长轨开始铺设，兰张高铁武威至张掖段正式进入全面铺轨施工阶段。
兰张高铁全线建成后，兰州至张掖将形成兰新、兰张高铁“双通道”，进一步完善西北高速铁路网络。
