Senko 在 CIOE 上展示了一款扩展光束背板连接器。SemiAnalysis 估算，每个连接器里含约 1500 根或更多光纤。
这个数字放在背板场景里看，指向的是光学背板这条路。它真正被需要，是在超大规模厂商和 neocloud 最终于机架内采用光互连、把 GPU 与交换机连起来做 scale-up 的时候。
为什么是机架内
机架内的光互连用于 scale-up，目前在各家路线图上仍相当遥远。也就是说，连接器先做出来了，但它要服务的那个场景还没到。
不过跟踪这个生态及其成熟度，能反映光学 scale-up 的采用速度。一个连接器的光纤密度，本身就是这条路线推进到哪一步的读数。
