北京时间9月20日，韩国男篮在亚运会男篮决赛中67-57战胜日本男篮夺冠。韩国男篮主力后卫李贤重与他的母亲也成为了韩国体育历史上第一对在亚运同一项目都拿下金牌的组合。
他们母子也是韩国体育历史第二个母子均夺金的案例（之前是网球和棒球项目的母子）。李贤重的母亲是成贞雅，韩国女篮名宿，曾获得1984年洛杉矶奥运会银牌和1990年北京亚运会金牌。
