据台北经济日报援引不具名供应链人士报道，台积电在龙潭的扩张预计将专注于1.4纳米及以下先进制程，初步计划建设三座晶圆厂。第一座工厂计划2030年左右建成并进入量产准备。总投资规模预计超过1万亿元台币（314亿美元）。
