日本总务省公布的数据显示，日本8月核心消费者价格指数（CPI）同比上涨1.7%，预估中值为上涨1.8%（27位经济学家的预测介于上涨1.7%至2%）。 核心CPI剔除了波动较大的生鲜食品价格。整体CPI同比上涨1.9%，预估为上涨2%。不包括能源和生鲜食品价格的CPI同比上涨1.9%，预估为上涨2%。
