据澎湃新闻9月17日报道，有网友反映，今年7月底在广东惠州海湾某酒店大堂，一只四足智能机器狗冲撞其5岁小孩，事后孩子面部缝5针面临永久留疤，酒店承认责任但不赔偿。
9月17日，事发酒店人士告诉澎湃新闻，机器狗与小孩互动过程中出现乱码，跳起来撞倒小孩，事发后陪同就医并免除当事人在店消费，酒店正在走保险理赔医疗费用。
