伊拉克石油部援引巴西姆・穆罕默德・胡代尔部长的声明称，石油输出国组织第二大产油国伊拉克，很快将接收进口汽油船货，弥补国内供应缺口。受民众担忧情绪影响，汽油日需求量从3300万升增至3800万升，日增幅达500万升。汽油短缺数日前开始出现。当前石油日产量超过300万桶。
