英格兰女足在莱斯特举行的首场ODI对阵爱尔兰的比赛中，选择先发制人，派出轮换阵容出战。
本场系列赛为三场ODI对决，英格兰队雪藏了多名主力球员，包括队长Nat Sciver-Brunt、 spinner Sophie Ecclestone 以及 seam bowler Lauren Bell。取而代之的是，Alice Capsey 将担任 wicketkeeper 一职。
系列赛第二场将于周四在 Derby 举行（下午1点开球），第三场则于周日在 Worcester 进行（上午10点30分开球）。
