8月25日，在重庆市荣昌区观胜镇许友村佛手柑种植基地，黄绿相间的果实挂满枝头，果农们背着背篓穿梭林间，忙着采摘、装运、加工，一派丰收景象。
佛手柑因其成熟时果瓣状如手指而得名，既可鲜食，又能加工成果干、果茶，其干片还具有疏肝理气、和胃健脾等药用功效。
近年来，观胜镇大力发展中药材产业，佛手柑种植面积达500亩，亩产约3000斤，主要销往安徽亳州、四川安岳等地。
