2026年8月27日，理光宣布正在研发RICOH GR IVx数码相机，相比RICOH GR IV，新机最大特点是改用了等效40mm的镜头，而且该镜头不再是RICOH GR IIIx所用的老款，而是“全新开发”（光学结构为6组8片，并具备3片非球面镜片）。
理光RICOH GR IVx预计将于2026年冬季或以后发布，售价尚未公布。
