OPTA统计表明，蒂茨成为自2008-09赛季有详细数据统计以来，首位在单场德国杯比赛中打入三粒头球的球员。
29岁的菲利普·蒂茨在今年1月以400万欧元的价格从奥格斯堡转会加盟美因茨，上赛季他在德甲下半程为美因茨出场19次，贡献5球2助。
