莫里斯是当地的名人——它是整个太平洋已知的唯一一只北鲣鸟（Morus bassanus）。 14年前，它出现在旧金山海岸附近的法拉隆群岛。从那以后，它把帕洛角港当成了自己的家。在这里，它很容易被认出来：那是唯一一只长着黄色脑袋的白色大鸟，通常和体型更小的黑色布兰特鸬鹚待在一起，就在商业码头尽头能看到的那块港口标志牌附近。
