据央视新闻：根据沙颍河水系来水情况，河南省决定8月13日2时启用泥河洼蓄滞洪区。
泥河洼为98处国家蓄滞洪区之一，位于淮河流域沙颍河水系，地处河南省漯河市舞阳县境内沙河与澧河之间，设计蓄洪容积2.38亿立方米，是沙澧河防洪工程体系的重要组成部分。
