8月12日，财闻海外资讯消息，在美国得克萨斯州对新数据中心项目下达暂停令后，该州的电力需求增速预计将大幅放缓。根据周二（8月11日）发布的政府数据，得州电力需求明年将增长5.6%。这一增速低于7月报告预测的14%年负荷增速，而后者本将是十年来最高的增幅。此次修正源于得州8月3日决定对所有申请接入州电网的数据中心项目展开审计，此举实际上暂停了这一蓬勃发展的行业。
