冒荣（1949— ，冒镛，栟茶北街人）栟茶初中走出，南京大学教育学博导。插队新林、代课乡塾，1977年考入南大数学系，后转治近现代史与教育管理，著文近百、带硕博无数。曾任南大校办副主任、公管院党委书记，以“冒氏温厚”化育桃李。他的人生像一条退回盐场的河——出去是数字与史论，回来仍是北街的中山装合影与栟中梧桐。
