湖北宜昌市气象台8月5日6时8分升级暴雨预警信号为红色：过去1小时，点军区土城乡已出现65毫米以上降水。预计未来3小时，土城乡仍有30至50毫米降水。山区山洪、地质灾害、中小河流洪水、城乡积涝风险极高，请特别加强防范。
受强降雨影响，宜昌多个景区发布了临时闭园公告。
