据报道，三笘薰因腘绳肌伤势被迫缺席世界杯，接受手术后在日本进行康复训练，近期已经归队参与布莱顿集训。
如果术后恢复周期需要4至6个月，三笘薰有可能在9月末或是10月初才能重返赛场。
英超揭幕战将于8月23日打响，布莱顿对阵阿斯顿维拉，球队同时还要备战欧协联附加赛。
