Robert Wood是一位常驻英格兰柴郡的作家兼编辑。他著有《The False Elephant: and 99 Other Unreasonably Short Stories》一书，内含100个故事，每个故事恰好用100个单词讲述。
Wood通过布莱恩·迈克尔·本迪斯的《终极蜘蛛侠》以及英国漫画选集《The Mighty World of Marvel》开始接触漫画，后者当时正在连载弗兰克·米勒的《夜魔侠》、经典浩克与《冠军之争II》。
