8月3日，巴西石油公司宣布，在哥伦比亚深水区的GUA-OFF-0区块Sandia-1探索井中再次发现天然气聚集。该井水深1251米，距海岸约42公里。巴西石油公司通过其子公司在包含该区块的联合体中担任运营方并持有44.44%的权益，合作伙伴哥伦比亚国家石油公司持有剩余55.56%的权益。
