7月29日晚，小米创始人、董事长兼首席执行官雷军在微博发布小米机器人团队实拍视频，并配文 “挺有趣的”。视频的开头一台白色小米机器人在工厂工作，折叠着一个便携收纳盒。随后镜头一转，改为了自拍视角。负责一旁值守的 “督工” 同样是小米机器人，机身采用黑色涂装，还对着镜头比出胜利手势。
