日本气象厅28日发布报告称，当地时间当天16时27分，日本熊本县附近发生7.1级地震，最大震感为震度7。日本气象厅发布海啸预警信息，提示附近可能发生海啸。
另据中国地震台网：
中国地震台网自动测定：07月28日15时27分在日本九州岛附近海域附近（北纬32.59度，东经130.35度）发生6.7级左右地震，最终结果以正式速报为准。
杭州、宁波、上海等多地网友表示有震感：
