世界银行高级副行长兼首席经济学家英德米特·吉尔（Indermit Gill）7月22日在接受媒体采访时表示，美国和伊朗之间战事再次升级可能推高通胀和利率，并让今年全球经济增速降至1.3%。
吉尔说，该行在6月经济预测中提出中东战事三种可能的结果，冲突持续6个月或更久的最糟糕情形已经接近实现。在此情形下，今年全球通胀将达到4.5%。（新华财经）
