当地时间7月21日，美国司法部提议，于2027年6月开始审理所谓委内瑞拉总统尼古拉斯·马杜罗涉嫌贩毒一案。
今年1月3日，美国对委内瑞拉发起大规模军事行动，强行控制马杜罗夫妇。他们被羁押在纽约，已两次出庭，拒绝美方所谓“犯罪”指控。国际社会广泛谴责美国严重侵犯委内瑞拉主权，威胁拉美地区和平稳定。
