本周我们学习和就业创业相关的词汇
1. enforce /ɪn'fɔːs/
n.强行实施，强制执行法律、规定等
搭配：enforce a law/ rule/ regulation 执行法律/规定
e.g.The regulations are strictly enforced.
e.g.Rules are only effective if they are properly enforced.
n. enforcement执行;实施；
e.g.Newspapers called for tougher enforcement of the existing laws on drugs.
2. rehabilitate /ri:hə'bɪlɪteɪt/
n.改造(服刑罪犯)
e.g.The program is intended to rehabilitate criminals.
e.g. The prison service should try to rehabilitate prisoners so that they can lead normal lives when they leave prison.
n.rehabilitation 改造；重返社会
e.g.The prison focuses on rehabilitation rather than punishment.
e.g.Instead of focusing solely on punishment, governments should invest more in rehabilitation, helping offenders develop skills and reintegrate into society.
3. blanket ban
n.全面禁令；一刀切的禁令
e.g.A blanket ban may be too extreme.
e.g.A blanket ban on advertising would be unrealistic because advertising helps businesses reach potential customers.
反义表达：case-by-case regulation 逐案处理;具体情况具体分析
e.g.Instead of a blanket ban, the government could adopt a case-by-case approach.
4. a slap on the wrist
习语:不痛不痒的惩罚;象征性的处罚
e.g. The company was fined, but many people felt it was just a slap on the wrist.
e.g.The punishment was little more than a slap on the wrist.
补充：fine v. 罚款
近义表达：lenient punishment
e.g.Some people believe that lenient punishment does little to deter crime.
e.g.Excessively lenient punishment may fail to deter potential offenders.
