英国海上贸易行动办公室当地时间7月20日凌晨通报称，接获报告显示，在阿曼库姆扎尔西北约8海里（14.8公里）处，一艘船只起火。起火原因尚未得到证实。据悉，库姆扎尔地处霍尔木兹海峡入口处，与伊朗隔海相望。
英国皇家海军表示，已收到该事故的报告。
